Until the new airport offers direct flights to Mentawai, Padang (
(West-Sumatra) is the nearest Airport.
Padang can easily be reached via Jakarta, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore within 1-2 h.
Padang offers Ferries every 2 days with a travel time of 3,5 h to Tua Pejat, the main harbor of Sipora Island, Mentawai.
Starting from 2024 different Airlines will start flying to the newly expanded airport of Sipora Island (Rokot Airport).
Flights will be offered from Kuala Lumpur, Singapore and Jakarta with flight times between 1-2h.
Most of Mentawais prestine beachfront locations can be reached within a 50 min drive from Rokot Airport.
